Is there a plumber open now, even at night and on weekends? +

Yes. We are a genuine 24 hour plumber across Ripley, Ipswich and surrounds. Calls go to a licensed plumber, not an answering service. If we cannot get to you safely that night we will say so on the phone and tell you what to do in the meantime.

What does an emergency plumber call out cost? +

Like any after hours plumber, we charge a call-out fee at night and on weekends. The difference is you hear the figure on the phone before we leave, not on the invoice. We are a fixed price emergency plumber, so the repair itself is quoted before it starts too. During normal hours there is generally no call-out fee for locals.

What if it can wait until morning? +

Then we will tell you, and you pay the standard rate instead of an after-hours fee. For anything that is uncomfortable but not dangerous, we are a same day plumber during business hours. We would rather do that than take a callout you did not need.

How soon can you come out? +

For a leak, turn the water off at the meter at the front boundary, clockwise until it stops, and open the lowest tap in the house. For a gas issue, turn the gas off at the isolator. Then call 0478 551 105. We assess it with you on the phone and dispatch if needed.

Where is my water meter? +

Usually at the front boundary near the footpath, in a small covered box at ground level. Turn the tap clockwise until it stops.

I can smell gas. What do I do? +

Do not touch any switch, including light switches. Open doors and windows, get everyone outside, and turn the gas off at the meter if you can reach it safely. Call your gas supplier's emergency line from outside, then call us. As a licensed gas leak emergency plumber we repair the line, pressure test it and issue the compliance certificate.
